Summer Biblical Languages Institute
The Summer Biblical Languages Institute at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary offers students the opportunity to complete the Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced courses in Greek or Hebrew in a short-term summer class format. It also allows extension center students interested in specializing in biblical studies to take these courses that may not be offered at their extension center. These courses are required of students who hope to achieve a Specialization in Biblical Studies or Biblical Languages, and the other specializations requiring ten hours of biblical languages. It also helps fulfill prerequisites for entry into some Ph.D. majors.
In some years, the Summer Biblical Language Institute includes a travel component to Greece or the Middle East so that the language can be learned in the culture in which that language is spoken.
