North Georgia Library

The holdings at the North Georgia Extension Center library are increasing week by week. We have approximately 27,000 books including journals and some audio-visual materials and the collection keeps growing. Also, don’t forget – the resources of the main campus library are also available to extension center students.

Circulation Polices

  • Faculty members – One semester
  • Doctoral students – 60 days
  • All others – 21 days; they may be renewed only once.
  • Reserves vary in time from “In House Only” to one week.
  • The fine for overdue books is $0.20 per item per day.

Virtual Library Resources

As you conduct research for your classes and academic workshops, you may find that you are expected to include journal articles as a part of your research for particular course requirements. Use the main campus library web page to find databases needed (EBSCOHost, ProQuest and other databases and more).

The GALILEO (Georgia Virtual Library) database provides access to many independent online resources. To find out passwords for these databases, please contact the library staff or stop by the North Georgia Library.

Computers, printers and a copy machine are available for student use. Copying is $.10 per page.
