Outside Seminary Funding
While NOBTS does offer need-based scholarships to current students, we recognize and appreciate many other organizations and ministries that offer scholarships and loans. We encourage students to pursue additional sources of financial assistance to help offset the cost of tuition while at seminary. NOBTS does not directly endorse the scholarships listed below (except for the respective Baptist state conventions and foundations), but we do offer these links as a service to our students.
To help us make this site as useful as possible, please contact the Financial Aid Office at financialaid@nobts.edu if you know of updated information, find a broken link, or encounter any problems with a scholarship listed below.

POLICIES
As each semester begins, tuition is due or a payment plan must be set up by the Final Day for Tuition Payment, which is the Friday before classes begin on the New Orleans campus. If your scholarship check will not arrive by this date, we can still consider the amount of the promised scholarship covered as long as we receive notification from the source by the Final Day for Tuition Payment.
The Financial Aid Office will accept notification in several ways.
- The student can bring a copy of the scholarship award letter that states their name and the amount of the award promised.
- The source can email (financialaid@nobts.edu) or fax (504.816.8437) a letter on their letterhead stating the student's name, NOBTS ID number if possible, and the amount of the award promised.
We cannot simply accept a student's word that they will be receiving a scholarship. We must have notification in one of the accepted formats. If notification is not received by the Final Day for Tuition Payment, the student will be considered responsible for the balance and could be charged a $100 late payment fee if the balance isn't covered by the deadline.
*Students are responsible for understanding and abiding by particular requirements established by outside seminary scholarships.
