Outside Seminary Funding
OUTSIDE SEMINARY SOURCE FUNDING While NOBTS does offer need-based scholarships, we also realize that there are many other organizations or ministries that offer scholarships as well. We encourage students to pursue any additional sources to help offset the cost of tuition while at Seminary. NOBTS does not accept any Federal funds including Stafford loans and Pell grants. We do, however, accept pre-paid state programs, VA benefits, the GI Bill, and TOPS.
All students should contact the following to inquire about scholarships:
You can also search for scholarships using the following web-based searches:
Payment Deadline As each semester begins, tuition is due or a payment plan must be set up by the Final Day for Tuition Payment, which is the day before classes begin on the New Orleans campus. Many outside sources may not be able to have a check to the Seminary for your scholarship by the Final Day for Tuition Payment. We will consider the amount of the promised scholarship covered as long as we receive notification from the source by the Final Day for Tuition Payment. The Financial Aid Office will accept notification in several ways.
We CANNOT simply accept a student’s word that they will be receiving a scholarship. We must have notification in one of the accepted formats. If notification is not received by the Final Day for Tuition Payment, the student will be considered responsible for the balance and could be charged a $100 late payment fee if they balance isn’t covered by the deadline.
