Prospective & First Semester Students
1. Basic Information and Ideas
Our Financial Aid home page is designed to walk you through the costs and funding opportunities for in-coming and current students. We encourage you to check with your home church, association, and state foundation for possible financial assistance. In addition, FACTS payment plans are available to allow you to divide your semester tuition expenses into monthly payments. If you have additional questions about financial aid, feel free to contact the Financial Aid Office at any time.
*Please note: NOBTS does not accept Federal grants or loans (such as Pell Grants or Stafford Loans). Because of this, there is no reason to complete the FAFSA form unless you are eligible for TOPS through the state of Louisiana.
2. New Student Scholarship Application
NOBTS offers a select number of scholarships each semester for students planning to attend the New Orleans campus (meaning you have never been a student at Leavell College, the main campus of NOBTS, or an NOBTS extension center). Extension center, DMin, and PhD students are not eligible for New Student Scholarships at this time, though each of these student groups are eligible for Current Student Scholarships after their first semester/trimester of study.
If you are planning to be a new student at the New Orleans campus in the near future, you may submit the New Student Scholarship application by clicking on the link above.
- The deadline for a Fall New Student Scholarship application is June 15th. Recipients will be notified by the middle of July.
- The deadline for a Spring New Student Scholarship application is November 1st. Recipients will be notified by the middle of December.
3. Music Scholarships
Music students should contact the Church Music Division (musicdivision@nobts.edu or 504-282-4455 ext. 3226) to learn about possible music-related scholarships offered through NOBTS. Some Music Scholarships may require try-outs or participation in a certain number of music classes or events.
