FAQ
Q: Why should anyone come volunteer on campus when the
surrounding community has such a large need too?
A: By helping us ready the campus for occupancy you are
contributing to overall ministry of the gospel in New
Orleans. Most of the churches in New Orleans are smaller in
size and many of them rely upon our students for leadership (both
paid and volunteer). With nowhere to live, our students are
residing in neighboring cities and states awaiting the time that
they can return and resume the ministries God has begun through
them.
Q: What is MissionLab and how is it different than the
NOBTS Volunteer Corp?
A: MissionLab is an ministry of the seminary that existed
prior to Hurricane Katrina. MissionLab is alive and thriving
today, impacting the city for Christ through the participation of
groups of all ages. MissionLab's target is the city of New
Orleans, so all MissionLab groups minister off-campus. NOBTS
Volunteers minister on-campus, helping us bring our seminary family
home so they can resume classes and the long-term ministries that
they are already a part of.
