OFFICE INFORMATION

The Office of Campus Safety and Security reports to the vice president of business affairs and president of the seminary.  The Campus Police department works closely with all departments of the Seminary to ensure that safety policy and procedures are uniformly executed and conveyed in a clear and consistent manner to all the Seminary's students, faculty, and staff.

An officer is located at the main entrance to the seminary 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Uniformed Campus Police officers, a supervisor, and a director provide around-the-clock patrol and services to the seminary community.  All Campus Police officers are licensed by the Special Officer division of the New Orleans Police Department.  They have the same arrest powers as a New Orleans Police Department officer within the bounds of the Seminary jurisdiction.

Campus Police officers are responsible for a full range of safety services to the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary community, including all crime report investigations, medical emergencies, fire emergencies, traffic accidents, and enforcement of all Seminary security and business related policies.

All criminal activity, suspicious activity, and other emergencies on campus should be reported to the Office of Campus Safety and Security by any member or guest of the New Orleans Baptist Seminary community.  Please dial (504) 944-7711 for all emergency or service calls, 24 hours a day.  Campus Safety officers will meet you anywhere on campus to investigate and inquire about any of these events.  Please call (504) 944-4455 for all non-emergency business calls.
