The Hardin Student Center (HSC) is the main activity building for daily life at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Housed within its walls are many student related offices, classrooms, a coffee shop, a post office, and a bookstore. HSC is a great place to get out of the heat and relax for a few minutes on one of the couches.

Café New Orleans

Café New Orleans is located in the Hardin Student Center and serves the students, staff, and faculty of the Seminary as well as the local community. The Café offers a variety of breakfast breads, sandwiches, soups and salads. Several varieties of coffees, hot and iced, are available. Check out the types available and even place an order from their website at www.cafeneworleans.com. There are also a variety of gift items such as gifts from the Holy Lands made of olive wood, and NOBTS mugs and bags. Lifeway Christian Store

Lifeway Christian Store is located on the first floor of the Hardin Student Center. The Lifeway campus store is owned and operated by Lifeway Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Brantley Scott is the Manager of Lifeway Christian Store. The store features many Christian books, Bibles, materials, music, cards, and gift items as well as required textbooks, school supplies and clothes with the Seminary’s logo.

Clinic

The services of a Family Nurse Practitioner and clinic Medical Assistant are available at the NOBTS Clinic, for faculty, staff, students, spouses and their children. The clinic is open from 10 am to 6 pm Monday thru Friday. Appointments should be scheduled by calling 504-816-8596. The Nurse Practitioner and medical assistant are not on call during off-duty hours.

Partial list of available services includes: immunizations, physical exams, lab test, screening & monitoring, minor surgery, treatment of common chronic conditions, off-site referrals, diagnosis & management of common episodic problems, and prescription refills.

Post Office

A full-service Contract Station Post Office is located on the first floor of the Hardin Student Center. Summer hours of operation are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday; and 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Friday. There are both morning and evening mail pick-ups daily. Mail is delivered to all apartment buildings on campus with the exception of the dormitories. Students residing in the dormitories are required to rent campus post office boxes.

Information Technology Center

The Information Technology Center is located on the second floor of the Hardin Student Center. The center provides computers and related equipment to be used by students, staff and faculty. The hours of operation vary according to semester. Please call 504-816-8180 for more information.
