22-23:  The 4th annual Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo,  Music and Green Festival: 11am-9pm along the banks of Bayou St. John   The festival features live music stages, both acoustic and electric with a wide variety of musical genres including New Orleans roots in Blues, Jazz , Funk, Cajun, Zydeco, Latin, Brass, Country, Alternative, Hip Hop and Rock.  There's something for everyone! thebayouboogaloo.com

Miscellaneous

The Mid-City Green Market will hold a professionally organized weekly open air market in Mid-City New Orleans that provides access to fruits, vegetables, seafood, meats and other local specialty goods grown, caught and baked by responsible farmers, fisherman, butchers, chef and other food artisans. Thusdays 3-7pm at 3700 Orleans Ave.

Harrison Ave Market , 2nd Wed of each month (none June/July) , 5-8pm, 801 Harrison Avenue www.harrisonavenuemarketplace.org, family event with over 75 local vendors offering delicious meals, handmade crafts and information. Upper 9th Ward Farmers Market-every Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Holy Angel Convent's parking lot at 3500 St. Claude Avenue

Westwego Farmers & Fisheries Market- Wednesday and Saturdays, 9am-1pm, located in the Historic Salaville District. The Westwego Farmers and Fisheries Market is located at 484 Sala Avenue at Fourth Street is a permanent public market that will serve our diverse population, help preserve and reinforce our rich cultural and culinary heritage and enhance quality of life

 The Crescent City Farmers Market located at Girod Street and Magazine. Saturdays  8-5
