The Campus Recreation Center
The Recreation Center is a multi-purpose facility that offers a variety of opportunities for physical activity at many different levels. Whether you are a hardcore weight lifter, want to enjoy some time on the basketball court, play a little air hockey or take a dip in the pool, the recreation center is a great place to hang out with friends and family.
Recreation Center Hours of Operation
Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri.: 5:30 AM-7:30 AM, 1:00 PM-10:00 PM
Wed.: 5:30 AM- 7:30 AM, 1:00 PM- 5:00 PM
Sat.: 1:00 PM -10:00 PM
Weight Room
The weight room features rubberized floors for safety. Weight equipment includes:
- Three-station Vectra Machine
- Smith Machine
- Cable Crossover
- Free weights
- Olympic Bench
- Dumbells
- Medicine Balls
- Kettle Bells
- Roman Chair
- Two Recumbent Cardio Bikes
- One Upright Cardio Bike
- Three Treadmills
- Two Elliptical Machines
Recreation center staff members are trained on the equipment and are available to conduct orientations for students. After working out, feel free to make use of the showers and lockers in both the women's and men’s restrooms.
Game Room
The game room has two Pool tables, a Ping Pong table, a Foosball table, and an Air Hockey table. Pool sticks, paddles, pucks and balls can be checked out from the equipment station. Board games and a video game system are also available for check-out.
Gym Floor
The gym floor features six regular basketball goals. Portable volleyball and badmitton nets can be set up, and other items are available for fun on the gym floor, such as dodge balls, wiffleball bats and balls, kickballs, and rubber bases.
Weekly Activities
The Recreation center hosts many different types of organized activities throughout the year for people of all ages. Some activities are:

- Karate
- Basketball
- Flag Football
The CHESS homeschool group on campus also uses the Recreation Center for their PE class time.
Pool
In 2006 NOBTS installed a beautiful new pool that features a state-of-the-art salt water filtration system, a children's wading pool, and covered seating and tables. The campus pool is located adjacent to the Recreation Center and is open from May to September. Specific schedules may vary. The schedule offers time for lap swim, swimming lessons, and recreational swim. Members of the seminary family can also make reservations for private parties.
