Ministry Wife Certificate
The Ministry Wife Certificate is designed to provide encouragement, direction, and training for student and ministry wives in biblical studies, marriage and family matters, personal spiritual growth, and practical skills.
Fall 2011 - Summer 2012
Leavell College will be offering the following courses for the Ministry Wife Certificate during the Fall 2011-Summer 2012 academic year:
Certificate Information and Fees
This Ministry Wife Certificate is designed for NOBTS campus and extension center student wives as well as other ministry wives. Wives of currently-enrolled NOBTS students can enroll in and register for these courses free of charge. Other ministry wives whose husbands are not currently attending NOBTS will pay fees and hourly tuition rates. All students will be responsible for textbook costs.
The requirements for the certificate include "The Minister's Wife" and seven elective courses. The Minister's Wife course is offered every fall on campus as well as in a 2-and-a-half-day workshop format during Red Carpet Week in May. This course must be completed before a student can earn the Ministry Wife certificate. New students will be enrolled in the Ministry Wife certificate program when they register for their first class.
Online Courses
One online course is offered during the fall and spring semesters as well as during the summer. Online courses are 8 weeks in length. Students will be required to complete online weekly assignments in these courses. Students wishing to register for a course delivered in the online format must fill out the Online Course Registration Form (click here for form). The form should be mailed to or dropped off at the registrar's office. For a list of courses, click on the schedule above.
On-Campus Courses
Two classes are offered on campus every semester. Classes meet Tuesday nights 6:30-8:30 in the Hardin Student Center. Students can register for the on-campus classes during the first night of class. Immunizations are required by the second night of class for students who attend Tuesday night classes. For a list of courses, click on the schedule above.
Workshop Courses
One 2-and-a-half day workshop is offered each year during Red Carpet Week in May on the New Orleans campus. Registration for this course is conducted on the first day of class, but housing reservations should be made ahead of time (suggestion: at least one month in advance).
