Ian F. Jones, Ph.D., Ph.D., LPC, LMFT, BCPCCIan Jones is Professor of Psychology and Counseling at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and holds the Baptist Community Ministries’ Chair of Pastoral Counseling. He taught previously at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was Professor of Psychology and Counseling, Associate Dean for the Division of Psychology and Counseling, and Director of the Baptist Marriage and Family Counseling Center, and at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, where he was Professor of Sociology and Dean of the School of Social Sciences. He is co-director of the Biblical Counseling and Spiritual Formation Network in the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a LPC and LMFT Approved Supervisor in Texas, a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor, and a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Kathy Steele, Ph.D., LPC, LMFTKathy Steele is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Counseling at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Director of Clinical Training for the counseling programs at NOBTS. She also occupies the James H. and Susan E. Brown Christian Counseling Chair. Dr. Steele is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and a LPC, AAMFT, and LMFT Approved Supervisor . She has served 3 years on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, She also has a private practice in Metairie, LA, and serves primarily the Spanish speaking community. Dr. Steele and her husband lived in Central America and served as IMB Missionaries for 20 years. Dr. Steele currently is the Director of the Counseling Training Partnership between NOBTS and the R. Ocaña Baptist Seminary in Havana, Cuba. Dr. Steele holds the MAMFC, as well as the Ph.D. in Psychology and Counseling. Faculty Page |

Kristyn Carver, Ph.D., LPC, LMFTKristyn S. Carver is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Counseling at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where she has been teaching since 2000. She is an approved LPC, AAMFT, and LMFT supervisor. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Carver helps provide mental health services in rural southern Louisiana through New Life Counseling Center, serves as the director of this faith based, non-profit counseling center, and operates her own private counseling practice in Metairie, servicing individuals, couples, and families. Jeffrey W. Nave, Ph.D., LPC, LMFTJeff Nave is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Counseling at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Director of the NOBTS Office of Testing and Counseling. He also serves as an Associate Pastor at Northshore Church in Slidell, LA and works with law enforcement personnel as Critical Incident Response Specialist. Dr. Nave is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and an Approved Supervisor for LPC, AAMFT, and LMFT. He holds an MDiv in Psychology and Counseling, and the Ph.D. in Psychology and Counseling. Faculty page |
