Each spring, the NOBTS Division of Church Music Ministry presents a History Through Worship concert series. Each year, one of the primary Western time periods is targeted in terms of exemplary sacred music. The concert offers students and audience members a glimpse of worship from another time and place. The concert features the finest of choral music. This year, the choir will present several movements from the Saint Matthew Passion. One of our doctoral students, a jazz specialist, will also be featured. Rick Draper will participate in a dialogue with the conductor, Dr. Greg Woodard, regarding a comparison of jazz with Baroque. Rick will also demonstrate jazz selections with NOBTS students. NOBTS doctoral organist Jieun Yun will also be featured, as well as the NOBTS children's and youth choirs. The evening should prove to be both educational and engaging. We hope you can join us for this annual event on April 27 in Leavell Chapel at 7 p.m.
