How to Locate Items
It is important when finding resources via the online catalog to also be aware of how to locate the physical items on the shelves. When you search for items in the online catalog there are four things to look at closely:
- Location - indicates which campus the item is located at.
- Collection - indicates which library, area or 'group' the item is in.
- Call Number - unique group of letters and numbers that identifies an item.
- Status - indicates whether the item is available (checked-in/out, missing, etc.).
