Tuesday, Nov. 2, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary will host mid-term elections on the first floor of the Hardin Student Center. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Classes will continue as scheduled, however, the election will impact parking at the HSC. Due to the number of voters entering and exiting campus throughout the day, the seminary is asking students, faculty and staff members to park in the lots near Bunyan and the cafeteria if possible. This will allow for ample voter parking at the HSC and ease congestion at the front of campus.
Park in marked spaces only. Do not parallel park along the street on the front block of campus.
Members of the seminary family should consider leaving home a few minutes early to offset increased traffic volume on campus and to secure a parking spot.
Dean of Students Craig Garrett said that the election will cause temporary inconvenience for the seminary residents, but will be a great service for the community. He encouraged the NOBTS family to help create a welcoming environment for voters and election workers.
