Eddie Campbell’s research and writing dealt with R. G. Lee’s use of conceptual metaphors in his sermons. The emphasis was upon a communicative, conceptual, and grammatical analysis of Lee’s metaphorical expressions.

His recent writing has focused upon meeting the research and writing needs of both Leavell College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary students. “Writing with Style” is a workbook designed specifically for Leavell College English composition students. Both Leavell College and NOBTS students use the “NOBTS/Leavell College Manual of Form & Style.” In more than thirty years of ministry, he has served as a youth minister, worship leader, and interim pastor. He currently serves as a deacon and plays the bass guitar for the worship team.

He and his wife, Betty Lynn, have been married forty-nine years and have five sons and eight grandchildren.
