Bio
R. Allen Jackson is both professor and pastor. For over half of his adult ministry life, he lived on the NOBTS campus and taught, researched, spoke itinerantly in the field of youth and collegiate ministry. Over the years, his interests expanded into other fields in Christian Education and Spiritual formation including leadership, administration, developmental psychology, and risk management. He has written extensively in adolescent, collegiate, leader training, and Bible teaching areas. In 2016, Dr. Jackson flipped the script, going from a full time professor and part time pastor to a full time pastor and part time professor. As senior pastor in a suburban Atlanta, Georgia church, he leads a congregation while serving as a Ministry-based professor for NOBTS. He teaches a few classes each year and continues to advise and supervise, particularly with doctoral students. Allen and his wife (Dr. Judi Jackson) have two grown children and one grandson who really did hang the moon.
