Randall Stone’s instruction and research revolves around two main themes. First is the personal and professional development of discipleship leaders. Second is the efficacy of organizations in disciple making task. He is particularly interested in the impact of human development in the spiritual formation and growth processes. His most recent research has centered on the integration of Communities of Practice, Communities of Learning, and Communities of Faith as a discipleship strategy. You can find his contributions in a number of publications. He is a frequent presenter at professional meetings.
Local church ministry is central to Randall’s life and ministry. He has more than three decades of experience, serving a variety of positions in small, large, suburban, urban, homogeneous and multicultural congregations. Additionally, he coaches struggling staff members, consults with local congregations and presents at leadership conferences. He currently serves part-time as discipleship pastor of a church in the New Orleans area.
He and his wife, Tara, have one adult daughter.
