Director of Spanish Distance Education

Distance Learning Office

JOB DUTIES: Oversee and manage the Spanish distance educational programs of Leavell College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Develop and implement a strategy to provide quality course offering in the Spanish Distance Education programs; recruit faculty to teach in the programs; develop undergraduate and graduate curriculums; build student body for the Spanish undergraduate and graduate programs; recruit strategic partners for the programs; advise students and monitor application process; hire and manage staff and daily operations of the program; maintain website; serve as Contract Instructor for Spanish Language courses; collaborate with Associate VP, students, alumni, faculty, administration, other educational institutions, churches and associations. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Theological Education, plus 12 months Ministerial or Church related experience. Fluent in Spanish speaking, reading and writing required. ITC Helpdesk Team Member

The ITC Helpdesk team member serves as the first point of contact for Students, Faculty and Staff that are seeking technical assistance over the phone and email. The team member works with the IT team to create service requests, assists with troubleshooting, provides Tips & Tricks training and communication for the ITC department. Individuals interested in working part-time as a IT Helpdesk Team Member should complete the on-campus application and submit it to the ITC or HR departments.

Network Assistant

The Network Assistant works with the Network Administrator and is responsible for diagnostics, maintenance, and support of the campus networks. The Network Assistant provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users with regards to network connectivity, security, system backups and virus protection. This position also works with other Technology Specialists in troubleshooting hardware and software issues as needed to support end users of NOBTS technology. This position can be part-time (28 hours) or full-time (40 hours).

Database Administrator Assistant

The Database Administrator Assistant will assist with managing the seminary's student information system and support end users of the application. Part-time (28 hours) or full-time (40 hours) are available.

Recreation Staff

Recreation Center

Recreation Staff ensures our members have a clean, safe, and organized environment, as well as, helping with organizing and working sporting events. Job responsibilities include: checking in and out members, cleaning and organizing Recreation Center equipment, cleaning and organizing different areas of the Recreation Center, helping with intramural and sporting events, along with any other request of the Recreation Director. Applicants need to be available to work during the weekday REC hours & occasional Saturday shift, able to work during the academic school year, and must be able to lift 15-45 lbs. Preferably, applicants should be 18 years or older, able to work morning and/or afternoon shift, have some customer service and recreation/sports experience.

Housekeeper

This is a part-time position (28 hours per week). The housekeeper would clean and ready rooms for guests of the Providence Guest House.

Dispatch Officer

This is a part-time position (24-28 hours per week). Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Responsibilities include taking calls for service, dispatching the Patrol Officer to calls for service, signing in guests at the guardhouse, enforcing laws and school policies on campus, and working special events on campus. Applicants should be comfortable with firearms or willing to learn.

Camera Officer

This is a part-time position (18-28 hours per week). Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Responsibilities include: watching cameras during business hours, basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft applications and navigating Windows), assisting with Campus Police duties, and working special events on campus. Applicants should be comfortable with firearms or willing to learn.

Patrol Officer

This is a full-time student position. Applicants must be able to work 40 hours a week. Applicants must be 18 years old or older and possess a valid driver's license. Patrol Officers are responsible for patrolling the campus in a Campus Police vehicle, responding to calls for service, and responding to emergency situations. All Campus Police Officers are expected to assist with extra duties, including special events on campus. Patrol Officers are required to carry a firearm while on duty and should be comfortable with firearms or willing to learn.

The Admissions Office is seeking an Admissions Representative to assist with our doctoral applicants. This is a part time role. The individual must be a student at NOBTS or Leavell College. Lifeguard

This job is a seasonal part-time position that requires outside work and updated certifications. You must receive and maintain certification in Lifesaving, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid during the duration of employment. Reimbursement for these certifications are available if you commit to work for us through the summer. You will be working outside during the summer so expect shifts when there is high heat. You must know and enforce pool rules with integrity and be an example to the patrons as well as other lifeguards. This position will report to the Pool Manager and Rec Life Coordinator.

Financial Aid Specialist

The Financial Aid Specialist assists the Financial Aid Director in the processing and awarding of scholarships, including NOBTS internal scholarships, outside foundation scholarships, and state scholarship programs. The Financial Aid Specialist also works alongside the Title IV Coordinator in the processing and awarding of Pell Grants. In addition to these primary responsibilities, this position assists in the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office. Applicants should be able to work with various software programs, complete training and maintain certifications with various state and federal programs, and learn the office policies and procedures in order to assist staff and students. This position requires strong customer service and communication skills, as employees will be interacting with students and families regularly. This position is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.

The Financial Aid Assistant is primarily responsible for the everyday tasks of the front office of financial aid. This role is the front line of communication for the financial aid office. Responsibilities include assisting students and parents in person, over the phone, and through email with general financial aid information. This position is also responsible for scanning and recording financial aid documents, processing financial aid mail, and logging documents such as scholarship thank you notes. Outside of these responsibilities the Financial Aid Assistant also helps with other seasonal tasks as needed in the office. This position requires strong customer service and communication skills, as employees will be interacting with students and families regularly. This position is a part-time, 20 hour per week position.
