Summer is here and the academic year is winding down. While there has been much to celebrate this year, there is more to come.

Celebration of Excellence—the final chapel service of the year—highlights student and faculty achievement and recognizes staff anniversaries. If you missed the article, you can read it here.

Graduation Day always is a day to celebrate as hard work and long hours went in to reaching that final goal. At the May 12 graduation, President Jamie Dew drew from Matthew 16: 13-26 to encourage listeners to remember that losing one’s life in following Christ is gain. Read about it here.

But there are more great days ahead. Mark your calendar for these great, upcoming events.

SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE SBC ANNUAL MEETING, in New Orleans

Come to New Orleans for the convention this year and stop by the NOBTS and Leavell College booth in the Exhibit hall. Much is happening on campus these days and you will want to see and hear about it.

NOBTS and Leavell College Alumni Luncheon, June 14, noon to 2 p.m.

What better way to close out the convention then seeing old friends and making new ones at the Alumni Luncheon, Wednesday, June 14, noon to 2 p.m., at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, site of the SBC Annual Meeting. Join us and hear how God has blessed the School of Providence and Prayer this year.

Get your tickets now by visiting Alumni Luncheon.

Luter Student Center Dedication, June 14, 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

A big celebration follows that evening, Wednesday, June 14, 6 p.m., as NOBTS and Leavell College on campus, as we rename and dedicate the student center in honor of Fred Luter Jr., pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church. See campus renovations while enjoying New Orleans cuisine food trucks and char-grilled oysters.

Let us know you’re coming by signing up Student Center Dedication.

While at the dedication, pick up a copy of the most recent Vision magazine that features Luter (and other alums you will know) on “The Difference a Pastor Makes.” This special edition of Vision has a fresh look with eye-popping visuals. You won’t want to miss it.
