What do Prepare Network Residency Partnerships Offer?
Prepare Network Re sidenc y partnerships offer seminary credit for residential training to fulfill the requirements of NOBTS’s Applied Ministry courses. In Applied Ministry courses , students study and hone practical skills in disciplines such as preaching, evangelism, and pasto ral ministry , etc. While taking Applied Ministry courses through their residency program , students will enroll in courses in other disciplines ( Old and New Testament, Systematic Theology , etc.) through NOBTS’s various distance education modalities.
What Does a Residency Meeting Look Like?
Residency meetings are typically discussion -based meetings on topic-specific course content. Students will read, complete assignments, and prepare for meetings as specified by the residency director course syllabus. In addition to the Residency meetings, students will gain practical experience serving in their local ministry context.
What About Curriculum?
Through the Prepare Network, NOBTS and Leavell College can partner with both pre-existing and new residency programs. If you have a pre-existing residency and curriculum, we can evaluate your syllabi and establish an agreement to confer seminary credit to your students for this training. If you do not have curriculum or would like to cultivate the academic component of a preexisting residency, we offer faculty-produced resource packs for each course which include everything a Residency Director would need.
