Tara Dew has released a new book “Overflowing Peace: What God Says About a Peace-Filled Life.”

Released Jan. 26, the book explores the biblical concept of peace by examining the familiar passage of Psalm 23.

“Overflowing Peace” is the highly anticipated follow-up to Tara’s bestselling first book “Overflowing Joy,” which was released in 2024.

Dew is wife of NOBTS President Jamie Dew, an adjunct professor and director of New Orleans Seminary’s Thrive Ministry Wives program.

She said the book shows how Jesus is pictured in Psalm 23 as the Good Shepherd who offers overflowing peace to his sheep.

“We live in a world marked by wars, tensions, and conflict,” Dew said.

“But God promises in Psalm 23 that He is our Good Shepherd and that we don’t have to be afraid, ‘even when I go through the darkest valley’ (Psalm 23:4).

“We are just like sheep who can become anxious and frenzied if we focus too much on the swirling circumstances of this earth. Yet in Psalm 23, Jesus reminds us that He is the Good Shepherd and He is with us. This gives us His overflowing peace so we can say with the Psalmist, “my cup overflows” (Psalm 23:5).”

Overflowing Peace explores 10 different images found in Psalm 23 which lead us to learn 10 different truths about Jesus.

“It is my prayer that these new insights will help Christians to trust their Good Shepherd and find peace in His care,” Dew said.

Both Overflowing Peace and Overflowing Joy are available now.
