Mark Tolbert has researched and written extensively on the public evangelistic invitation. Since completing his doctoral studies on this subject he has continued to be a student and an advocate of clear, compelling and Spirit-directed proclamation and invitations. He also has championed "The Monday Morning Prayer," beginning each week with a Matthew 9:38 petition for opportunities to share the gospel with the lost.
Dr. Tolbert has served as a collegiate minister, church staff member and pastor before joining the faculty of NOBTS. He continues to serve churches as Interim Pastor.
Dr. Tolbert and his wife Joy have two grown children and five grandchildren
