Bio

Tim Williams was raised in Liberia, West Africa as the child of missionaries serving with the International Mission Board for 30 years. He invited Jesus into his life at the age of 9 and was called into ministry during his freshmen year at Louisiana College. Dr. Williams currently serves as the Senior Pastor at Williams Boulevard Baptist Church in Kenner, LA (2010-Present) and is also a ministry-based Associate Professor of Global Missions at NOBTS.

Dr. Williams has served as a church planting missionary in South Africa (2001-2003), church planting strategist for Alberta and Western Canada with the North American Mission Board (2003-2010), and as the Nehemiah Church Planting Professor of the Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary and College (2007-2010). He has planted churches and served as Pastor of churches in Louisiana and Canada. He is the founder of the Love Guinea initiative which is actively engaged in reaching unreached people groups in the Forest Region of Guinea. Dr. Williams completed his PhD in Missiology at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.

Tim and Amy have been married since 1997 and Amy is the Director of the Museum of the Bible and Archaeology at NOBTS along with teaching in the Thrive Program. They have four children - Solomon, Gideon, Silas married to Helen, and Jaelle.
