Changes to Campus Hours

In an ongoing attempt to increase social distancing and decrease exposure during the COVID-19 national health emergency, effective Friday, March 20, 2020, all NOBTS campuses will move to a reduced office hour schedule:

  • In coordination with your supervisor, part-time employees may work from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.
  • In conjunction with the guidelines and parameters set by their supervisor, full-time employees who are able may work from home.
  • For all full-time employees that continue to work on campus, offices will close to the public at 1:00 PM. After 1:00 PM, the office will close to the public and employees will work isolated behind closed doors.

As before, if employees are not comfortable with remaining in offices and continuing to come into work, please discuss those arrangements with your supervisor.

In addition to the above change to campus hours, we are also shifting our library practices at this time. While the library will remain open to our students and employees, we will now operate under a “take-out order” format. Please visit the library website for details about these procedures.

Our first priority in this situation is the health and well being of our students, faculty, and staff. We are also doing everything in our power to maintain our employees’ work hours in order to protect their financial well-being.

In keeping with our practice over the past week, we will continue to evaluate these measures every day and will communicate all decisions as soon as they are made. We anticipate this being our schedule for at least two weeks in keeping with the president’s “15 Days to Slow the Spread” initiative announced this week. If further measures are needed in the coming days we will adjust accordingly and keep you informed.
